Mascalzone

Welcome to Mascalzone: a delightful Italian dining experience nestled in the heart of Edgware, England, at 120 Station Rd. Renowned for its deliciously diverse menu and vibrant atmosphere, Mascalzone captures the essence of Italian culinary traditions with a modern twist.

As a food reviewer at Pops Cafe, I was eager to explore the exquisite offerings of Mascalzone. The moment I stepped in, the warm, inviting ambiance embraced me. The decor perfectly echoed the charm of Italy, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience.

Highlights of the Menu: Mascalzone boasts a tantalizing array of dishes that cater to various palate preferences. The Antipasti section is a must-try, featuring the Calamari Gamberi E Zucchini Fritti — crispy squid, prawns, and courgettes served with flavorful tartar sauce for just £12.50. For something heartier, the Cozze Provinciali, showcasing half a kilogram of fresh mussels swimming in a spicy tomato and white wine sauce (£11.50), is sure to delight seafood lovers.

  • Soups: The Lenticchie Soup, a rich Italian lentil offering, is a cozy option at £8.40.
  • Salads: Elevate your meal with the refreshing Insalata Mascalzone, packed with mixed greens and buffalo mozzarella for £13.90.
  • Pasta: The Tagliatelle Al Ragu D' Agnello is a must-try, featuring hearty stewed lamb and aromatic rosemary for £14.40.

Don’t overlook their pizzas: the Mascalzone pizza is a creative duo, combining a calzone with mozzarella and ham alongside a classic pizza adorned with salami and mushrooms—all for £14.80.

Customer Experiences: Many patrons rave about the generous portions and consistently high food quality. One enthusiastic reviewer, László Szelei, praised the delicious food and wonderful atmosphere, emphasizing the attentive service. Others highlighted the family-friendly environment, complete with treats like cotton candy for children, making it a perfect spot for celebratory gatherings.

While some concerns regarding service delays and food temperature were mentioned, overall, the consensus is that Mascalzone excels in both cuisine and customer service. The dedication to providing an authentic and enjoyable dining experience is evident in every bite.

Conclusion: Mascalzone is more than just a restaurant; it's a vibrant celebration of Italian culture and cuisine. Whether you’re sharing antipasti with friends, indulging in rich pasta dishes, or savoring delectable pizzas, each meal is crafted with passion and skill. With its locale in Edgware, it’s an ideal destination for those seeking to immerse themselves in unforgettable flavors and conviviality.

An Italian restaurant with a fantastic modern twist with the decor keeping to the Italian theme. Staff are pleasant, and service was timed perfectly not to feel rushed. The food is excellent and perfectly cooked. Parking is either on the street or in the local shopping centre, which is chargeable (currently £ for hours) but cheap enough not to worry about finding a place on the street.

Unless you ate under don't go on a Saturday nightFood was cold. We told the manager and he re heated our dishes instead of replacing them which meant the tuna on Mt pasta was melted. Horrible. I did not eat this. Again told the manager who denied the food had been cold in the first place . A d did not grasp it is not acceptable to reheat food. They did not reduce the bill in any way. Awful
